International travelling Fellowship
The DVSE offers an International Observership Fellowship to two international physicians, with preference given to applicants from emerging and developing countries. Each fellowship is endowed with
€ 2.500,-
The fellowship is intended to support an observership at a hospital or practice clinic that provides advanced shoulder and elbow surgery. Eligible institutions include DVSE training centers as well as departments directed or co-directed by DVSE-certified shoulder and elbow surgeons. The observership period must be at least four weeks in duration.Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong and verifiable interest in shoulder and elbow surgery, as well as the potential to contribute to improving and shaping the quality of care in their home country.
- Application documents, which may also be submitted by the host institution, should include: curriculum vitae, surgical logbook (shoulder and elbow), clinical and academic career record, list of publications, presentations, awards and honors, involvement in the national society (orthopaedics/shoulder/elbow surgery), the objective of the observership, and the preferred host institution(s).
- The application deadline is generally January 31st and should be directed to preise@dvse.info
- Following selection, the D-A-CH Association for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery may issue a confirmation letter to support the visa application process
- The fellowship grant is normally presented in cash at the first host institution
